How to Use
Nutrela Soya Chunks need to be rehydrated before use. There are a few common methods:
Boiling Method (Preferred for quick cooking):
Rinse 1 cup of soya chunks 2-3 times in water and drain.
Add 3 cups of water and a pinch of salt to a pan.
Bring to a boil, then add the soya chunks.
Boil for 5 minutes on medium heat.
Drain the water completely.
Press and squeeze the chunks really well between your palms to remove all excess water. This step is crucial to remove any "after smell" and allow them to absorb flavors better.
The rehydrated chunks are now ready to be used in your recipes.
Soaking Method (Hot Water):
Place soya chunks in a bowl.
Pour boiling water over them, ensuring they are fully submerged.
Let them soak for 10-30 minutes until soft and expanded.
Drain and squeeze out excess water before use.
Soaking Method (Overnight/Cold Water):
Place soya chunks in a bowl.
Cover with cool water.
Let them soak overnight (or for several hours) until soft.
Drain and squeeze out excess water before use.
Once rehydrated, Nutrela Soya Chunks can be added to:
Curries (soya chunk curry, soya kheema)
Biryanis and Pulao
Stir-fries
Snacks (soya cutlets, soya chaat, crispy fried soya chunks)
Soups, salads, and wraps
